Loan Officer
Job Summary:
Originates investment quality loans by selling firm's loan products and services to meet the needs of its client base. Responsible for the overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing, including but not limited to: counseling and pre-qualifying potential borrowers; taking or reviewing applications received for complete and accurate; obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fee and lock-in information; overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms; assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communicating loan status to all interested parties, and obtaining loan documentation after closing, as directed by management.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Sources, develops and structures mortgage financing requests for new and existing customers.
  • Negotiates terms, structures loan financing based on risk considerations and presents credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority as required.
  • Utilizes in-house programs to meet customers’ credit needs with alternative broker product a secondary choice.
  • Assists customers with inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered.

Pre-requisites:
  • Minimum two years of lending experience.
  • Working knowledge of standard loan products in the industry, various state guidelines and strong familiarity with underwriting standards.
  • NMLS License Required.

Skills:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Strong interpersonal-communication and business-relationship skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or economics preferred but not required

Account Executive

Job Summary:

Develops new business prospects in specific geographic areas through cold calls. Interacts with existing customers to increase sales of the Company’s products and services. The duties for External Account Executive include, but are not limited to, those described below.


Essential Job Functions:
  • Organization: Develops and implements relationship strategies for selling bank product, satisfying customer needs through a full array of products and services.
  • Coordination: Utilizes business development skills to establish new business.
  • Communication: Communicates well verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers acting as liaison between account and Company’s internal departments to ensure cohesive business flow.
  • Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers and FAX machines.
  • Physical:  Sits and stands for extended time periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges.


Responsibilities:

  • Sources and develops new account relationships
  • Maintains contact with client base on a daily basis to solicit new business.
  • As assigned by management, conducts on-site informational and training sessions.
  • Monitors Company’s computer based pipeline reports on a daily basis for prompt cancellation dead files and to ensure timely delivery of live files.
  • Maintains familiarity with the applicable state licensing requirements.
  • Ensures updated rates available to client base daily.
  • Handles questions from accounts regarding underwriting, processing and funding flow.
  • Performs a variety of tasks maintaining familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. 
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


Experience:

  • One to three years of related sales experience.
  • Experience in mortgage operations preferred.

DE Underwriter
Job Summary:
Responsible for the prudent underwriting of conventional and FHA/VA loans in accordance with company and investor guidelines. The duties for Wholesale Underwriter include, but are not limited to, those described below.
 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Communication: Liaises among borrowers, investors and escrow companies to communicate decisions on loans.
  • Organization: Ensures loan files are complete with all outstanding issues addressed.
  • Equipment: Uses such office equipment as computer terminals, copiers and FAX machines.
  • Physical: Sits, writes, types for extended time periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Completes a thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company, investor, and FHA/VA guidelines.
  • Evaluates the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans and ultimately ensures an “investment” quality loan product.
  • Checks accuracy of all calculations.
  • Assists with the training of new underwriters. 
  • Recommends the loan disposition to underwriting manager for loan amounts in excess of authority limitation. 
  • Maintains company standard for productivity level, and complies with company policy of 48 hour underwriting turnaround time and 24 hour turnaround time for clearing conditions. 
  • Communicates decision on loans to appropriate parties both verbally and in writing. 
  • Maintains underwriting activity logs and provides monthly underwriting report to underwriting manager. 
  • Available to processors and correspondents for general guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files. 
  • Responds to post closing reviews and audits in a timely fashion. 
  • Performs related duties, as directed by Underwriting or Operations Manager.

Experience:
  • Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience, with solid working knowledge of underwriting guidelines.
  • Experience with private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines.
